I've been natural for almost seven years now, but only in the last two years have I gotten serious about keeping it healthy. When I started dying it to cover up the gray, I realized I had to take extra care with my hair to keep it moisturized and strong. Not helping is the fact that I live in the dry climate of Colorado. But I am determined. In the past year I've become a curl-obsessed, blog-reading, YouTube-lurking, product junkie with no cure in sight. I'm having more fun with my hair than I ever had in my life.
Other stuff: I'm a wife, mom, sister, daughter, aunt, friend, writer and believer in Jesus Christ. Oh, and my husband and I opened up a little take-out neighborhood restaurant in Denver a year ago, so I guess I'm a restaurateur.
